K10 Library and David Tremlett Archive
MARTIN KUNZ, founder and promoter of the K10 Kunzarchive & Projects, is pleased to announce the start of a fruitful period of events and activities by establishing this archive as a kind of Centre for Contemporary Art and documentation studios for art curators, in collaboration with other institutions as well.
The events are dedicated to themes, documents and works to be exhibited, discussed and documented, concerning the art and artists that are part of the K10 archive. In the archive materials, books and works are collected from more than 35 years of curatorial activity, 25 of which Kunz spent as Director of three different museums, in Lucerne, New York and Ascona, for which he was responsible for curating, publishing and producing them. His career includes more than 200 exhibitions and 150 publications, many of them at Biennales, museums and other venues, from the Venice Biennale, the Edinburgh International, the Trigon Biennale-Styrian Autumn in Graz, to major museums around the world
As the initial plans will show, the art and artists on display will not be limited to the past, but emerging artists will be included with artists from previous decades. Some are little known here, but are already receiving international attention elsewhere. Others are well known in the past, but less recently exhibited, and will certainly be given new consideration.
